Planned Giving
You may remember growing up as a 4-H’er and having a club leader or county agent provide you with hands-on, experiential learning in 4-H. Or you may have learned about 4-H through employment at the county, state or national levels or through service on a local or national 4-H board.
Remembering National 4-H Council in your estate plans ensures that future generations of youth will have opportunities to learn and grow through 4-H.

If you decide to provide for National 4-H Council in your estate plans and notify us by signing a Declaration of Intent in 2008 or 2009, you are eligible to become a charter member of the National 4-H Heritage Club, Council’s planned giving society, and receive special recognition as one of the first members. As a National 4-H Heritage Club charter member, you will also receive the following exclusive benefits:
- National 4-H Heritage Club pin: This original pin, specially designed for charter members of the National 4‑H Heritage Club, is a keepsake to remind you of how your gift will help 4-H for years to come.
- Invitations to National 4-H events: You will have the chance to reconnect with old 4-H friends and make new ones at events such as the National 4-H Hall of Fame.
- Membership Plaque Recognition:As a charter member of the National 4-H Heritage Club, your name will be proudly displayed on a plaque at the National 4‑H Youth Conference Center, the national home of 4‑H.
- Continued communication with 4-H: Keep up-to-date with great stories about today’s 4‑H youth!
- Tax benefits: Please work with your attorney or estate planner to identify the tax benefits that may accrue to you through your legacy gift to 4-H.
